Santa Rosa cloudforest

After a delicious breakfast, we travel one hour by local transport to the community of Las Juntas. From Las Juntas, we hike about an hour and a half to reach Santa Rosa, located in the cloud forest area of the protected Cerro Golondrinas forest managed by the Golondrinas Foundation.  On our way back to the community of Las Juntas, we visit the orchideans place and trouchs fisihing. We return to Guallupe for a charming dinner and lodging.

OPTION 2

LAS JUNTAS FARM – RIVER – ORCHID GARDEN – FISHING

Beginning with a traditional breakfast, we travel to the Las Juntas demonstration farm. At the farm, we do some agricultural work, such as planting and harvesting seasonal fruits, including bananas and yucca, or cleaning and preparing the agricultural area, among other activities. We return to Las Juntas for lunch, and visitors can enjoy a refreshing swim in the river located five minutes from town. In the afternoon, we visit an orchid garden that includes a diversity of species, with more than 4,000 native plants and hybrid orchids from different places that have been cultivated in the demonstration area. Visitors learn about the work and passion involved in caring for these plants and flowers. Next to the orchid garden is a place for fishing, where we can catch our own trout and enjoy a delicious and fresh meal.
